Welcome

Information, support, help and hope for parosmia

from a patient's lived experience

The Parosmia Awareness website was launched in 2020

when there was an apparent need for parosmia support

since it has became a symptom of COVID-19 variants.

The First Parosmia Awareness Day was June 27, 2022

Although everyone's experience may be slightly different,

June 27 was chosen for Parosmia Awareness Day

because it is four months after Anosmia Awareness Day, February 27,

which is the approximate amount of time it takes for parosmia to develop in someone who is recovering from anosmia, which is a total loss of the sense of smell.
